Getting That Air-Tan Glow While Pregnant

One of the most commonly asked questions from mama’s-to-be is if getting an Air-Tan is safe or not. While we always want you to consult with your doctor first, we have tanned many pregnant women at Air-Tan – myself included.  My pregnancy was considered a high-risk pregnancy, so when I first found out that I was pregnant, I had to meet with a high-risk doctor. One of the many questions that I had for him was could an airbrush tan cause harm to my unborn child. He assured me that as long as I was not drinking the solution, (YUCK!) it was safe. Again, in no way are we claiming to be medical experts and each pregnancy is unique, so be sure to consult with your physician.

What about after the baby?

After baby comes, don’t forget to plan some alone time. What better way to treat yourself than to get an Air-Tan? Many breast-feeding moms want to know what to wear while getting tanned. You can get as creative as you’d like. We recommend avoid getting sprayed where the baby will feed by wearing a strapless bra or pasties. Since our airbrush comes out in a mist, it can be hard to avoid this area all together, so we always recommend trying to keep it covered. Remember, you want to wait 8 hours after your tan to shower or get wet.

Don’t forget the perfect accessory to your baby shower dress or maternity photos-an Air-Tan!
